The History of 1414

The business agreement between the Federal Government of Nigeria and ANAMMCO Limited to produce commercial vehicles under the Federal Urban Mass Transit Agency (FUMTA) tool effect from 16th September 1995, under the Military Administration of the then Head of State Late General Sani Abacha; mandating her to supply 401 units of MB 0 1414.
The actual production and supply began on January 1996 and lasted till February 1999 when the last unit was successfully delivered and a total of 736 Buses was produced.

Our Marketing Division was on ground to launch the first supply of 10 units on 9th January 1996 at Abuja with Mr. Rude Kornmayer (MD), Mr. Chris Obiefuna (MM) and Miss Ebere Okagbue (Sales) representing ANAMMCO under the supervisory eye of the Federal Ministry of Transport.

All Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria and Federal Government Ministries benefited from this exercise. This boosted ANAMMCO’s production and sales within this period

However, the table below shows annual production of different versions of the then new vehicle.
